Change CSV Field Names

Change CSV Field Names

In this video I’ll show you how to change csv field names.

You may need to change the csv field names if you are exporting the submitted forms as a csv file to an external database and need the fields to match.

To change the csv field name go to the Form Builder and click on 'Edit' next to a field, then change the csv field name. For example, the 'Title:' field may need to be TITLE to match the database.

Then do the same thing for all fields that you want to export.

If you do not want to include a field in the csv simply untick ‘show in csv’.

Next go to submitted forms and download the form as a csv. If you change the 'show in csv' settings on the template after submitting the form then you will need to tick ‘use current form settings’.

Click on 'Download csv', then open the file to see that the csv field names have been changed and you can then export this file to an external database to match up the fields.
