How to prevent previous formatting or spacing when copy and pasting text

When you copy from a PDF or a Word document there is often hidden formatting and this causes the weird spacing.

In order to prevent this, copy the text but first paste it into Notepad or a basic text editor.

This will remove all of the hidden formatting, then copy the text again from Notepad and then paste this into a new free text field.

If the spacing is still too large, delete the space and then shift and enter - this creates a smaller space between each paragraph.
